Meditation Practice

Throughout this site you will find a wide range of practices sourced from many ancient wisdom traditions and modern day psychotherapies, which include meditation as a core component.

The aim of these practices is to awaken one to their true Self and their relationship to existence. Through the practice of such exercises one comes across a huge range of physical and psychological benefits.

Through gradual practice our hearts being to open, destructive emotions such as fear, anger, jealously, greed, cravings, addictions and unhealthy attachments melt away, to give rise to empathy, joy, love, self-compassion, gratitude and forgiveness. Restlessness, agitation and stress are replaced by peace and an inner sense of tranquillity.

The physical effects are no less dramatic, reducing stress, aggressive behaviour, blood pressure and cholesterol. They have been shown to alleviate insomnia, addictions, muscle spans, migraine and many diseases ranging from psoriasis to chronic pain.

These practices have been shown to enhance creativity, increase productivity, intelligence and academic achievement, developing greater self-control and self-actualisation. In fact, recent studies indicate practices such as meditation lengthen life and reduce the effects of aging.

The practices transform us, opening our hearts and clearing our minds, and we begin to see into the boundless depth of our minds, and there we make the greatest of all discoveries, we discover our true Self, recognise that we are not just what we imagined, but know that we are much much more.
