Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a group of behavioural symptoms that include inattentiveness, hyperactivity and impulsiveness.
ADHD tends to surface at an early age, with most cases diagnosed between 6 and 12 years. Symptoms can be made worse when a child’s circumstances change, such as moving to a new house or joining a new school.
The symptoms of ADHD usually improve with age, but many adults who were diagnosed with the condition at an early age continue to experience problems.
