The impact of the financial crisis is starting to become visible in the health of the population. While politicians and “experts” keep broadcasting the same message of “green shoots” and “recovery”, it is painfully clear through the rising unemployment, decreasing consumer confidence, failing businesses and increasing home repossessions that the Government and its spoke-person, i.e. the Main Stream media are in fact lying about the state of the economy.
Debt stress, coupled with misleading information has increased the real impact on the health of those under the burden of stress. Money and job worries have increased doctor appointments in London to 350K in a year.
Debt stress like any other form of stress has also increased the rate of blood pressure and heart related diseases in the London population.
In addition to mental health problems, which are currently experienced by about 1 million people in London and has resulted in an increase in expenditure of treating mental health by 26% according to the London health forum.
Conventional treatment of stress and stress related illnesses have consistently failed to deal with the source of stress, while treating the symptoms of stress through the use of highly addictive psychotropic prescription drugs.
Meditation is a most effective and non-toxic method of dealing with the very source of stress and anxiety. By calming the anxieties and worries, we are able to make clear rational decisions and seek appropriate help, rather than being “monetized” yet again by being placed in a faceless system.
