
Mindfulness has been shown to aid the treatment of children and adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in recent years.
Due to the nature of ADHD, it had previously been thought that child, adolescent and adult suffers would not be able to learn Mindfulness.
Mindfulness involves sustaining attention to the breath, bodily sensations and thought patterns. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity is characterised by a lack of concetration and distractability, however, current research has found the Mindfulness training has been shown to improve both behavioural and neurocognitive impairments associated with ADHD.
