Stress has become an overwhelming part of our daily life, with work pressures, job insecurity, falling income increasing costs, parenting, personal security and all the "trimmings" expected from a "successful" woman in the 21st century.
Our modern life style does not come without a price; increased stress has not just been linked to physical illnesses such as cancers, heart disease, stroke etc, but also with mental illnesses.
Shockingly, 1 in 3 women over the age of 25 is left suffering from hair loss as a result of stress. As a result of social pressure remain "acceptably thin", many women dont eat as healthily as their body needs, and therefore this too adds to their hair loss.
These startling results come from a study that polled over 3000 which found almost 40% of women have experienced hair loss to some extent. Nearly 5 million women suffer from serious hair thinning problem in the UK.
Hair loss also leads to many women feeling depressed and also ashamed of admitting thinning hair.
Despite the startling evidence available of the emotional, physical and mental illnesses as a result of stress, modern medicine fails to deal with unproductive stress without further damaging health through the poisoning of your body with powerful psychoactive drugs. Compare this to the stark evidence from thousands of research studies which have clearly demonstrated the remarkable effect of meditation such as mindfulness and Symran in reducing or stopping unproductive stress, overcoming depression and mental illness not to mention giving rise to greater meaning, joy and happiness in our lives.
