As we enter the beginning of world events that are likely to forever change the lifestyles we have known, with increasing freak weather, super storms across the globe, super-earthquakes, destruction of crops and harvests, as Governments and their so called experts try and gloss over the unprecedented events, as public starts to awaken, many opting to walk away from negative equity, causes even more misery for the failing banking system, we can all feel the levels of anxiety, stress, fear and anger rising.
During 1993 a remarkable study was conducted in Washington DC over a period of 8 weeks. A project was set up as a scientific experiment to test an important hypothesis: that reductions in social stress could reduce urban crime through the use of Transcendental meditation, also known as Symran or mantra meditation. Surprisingly a 27-member team of independent scientific review board, which monitored the study, concluded that this experiment in using meditation to reduce urban crime showed a 23% drop in crime during this 8-week period.
As our lives become increasingly more vulnerable to the global, social and spiritual changes, it will become essential to ensure that we take greater care of both our and our familys physical and mental health .
Several thousand studies have clearly demonstrated the impact of meditation on our physical, mental health and even social interaction and relationships .
